Norbert Schraepler from Berlin, Germany; November 2010: 'I stayed in October 2010 with my 2 boys (6 and 8 years old) in the 2BR-flat. To cut a long story short: it was very very good. The rooms (2 bedrooms, 1 living room, 1 kitchenroom) are spacious and nicely furnished. The bathroom and toilet are completely new. You have a separate room for your baggage and your clothes. The beds are very good (it was the first time in my vacancies that my back was not aching after a night's sleep in a hotel or appartment...). The location of the flat in the historical part of Sesimbra is superb ! You have really everything in 5-minutes walking distance (including the beach !). The service of the owners is also highly recommended (for German visitors: they speak German as well). Ok - there is just one littel thing...the manager of the flat is an old lady that does not speak any other language than Portugese. That might be a little bit tricky (or funny...) if the owners are not in town and you have to deal something with her. But never mind...at the end this worked also well.
All in all: Casa Sesimbra is highly recommended from my side and i am really looking forward to come back soon.'
José Vieira from Braga, Portugal; August 2010: 'A recuperação da casa é muito interessante. A localização excelente.
JV'
J Fiuza from London, UK; August 2010: 'Stayed july 2010 in 2 bed apt. The flat is in an old building which has just been refurbished. Thus you get the large rooms, very high ceilings etc of a classic building, which is quite an unusual experience. Note you also get the less positive aspects, such as noise (no double glazing, floors a bit creaky) etc. Overall however we absolutely loved it. The restoration has been done really nicely.
The location is amazing- there is a restaurant next door (very good value for money- good food at cheapest prices for seafood we found in Sesimbra)- we ate there several times and liked everything), market maybe 30m away, as is the main shopping road, beach/promenade/fort under 100m, and yet you're on quite a quiet side road.
Sesimbra is a lovely little town, very historic, little cobblestone streets, lots of restaurants and cafes, nice beach (not too crowded in July- although busy at weekends when the tide was high), etc. The one negative is that parking is very difficult in town, so we avoided renting a car for the duration and just got one for a day whenh we needed it, and taxis to/from airport- Francisco (the contact on the website) was very good in this regard. Obviously you can easily walk everywhere in town.'
R.H. from Oslo, Norway; July 2010: 'We stayed at Casa Sesimbra for 5 days in July and enjoyed it very much. The apartment fulfilled all our needs and felt large and spacious. The location is perfect - in a quiet street only 100 meters from the beach.'
Sabrina Ramos from Putnam Valley, New York, USA; May 2010: 'Our trip was truly memorable. We really enjoyed the apartment as it was spacious and perfect for the 4 of us. Everything was just so beautiful with such amazing attention to detail and the balconies were a wonderful treat. We really enjoyed shopping at the markets and making breakfast in our amazing kitchen. Loved the induction stove. Most of all we enjoyed being right on the beach. Sesimbra is so beautiful and we really enjoyed the town and how close we were to everything. We couldn’t imagine a better place to stay while enjoying our visit to Sesimbra. Thank you.'
